Biography
Professor Volicer received MD from Charles University and PhD in pharmacology from the Czechoslovak Academy of Science. He was the medical director of a 100 bed dementia unit and established the first program using palliative care for patients with advanced dementia. Professor Volicer is currently teaching and doing research at University of South Florida, Charles University and University of Western Sydney. He published over 250 peer reviewed articles and 7 books and is serving as an editor or an editorial board member of several scientific journals.
